Here's a design idea that will fit into a big empty space on your wall created by a tall ceiling. Try painting a contrasting stripe of rich brown paint or other favorite color that would give a warm look to the wall leaving the edges in an uneven or scalloped design.
Set two bookcases together one on top of the other right side up and then one upside down so the flat surfaces are together and the legs are sticking up on the top one. It will give you a nice tall feature in the middle of your warm wall stripe.
Add a wicker basket to the top of the set of bookcases and then fill the shelves with some books, cd's or dvd's, pictures or mementos.
