Home Cooked Food Is Irreplaceable

02/01/10 05:06

I am a frequent flyer. I do a lot of traveling and of course, I have to eat the local food of the place where I am staying. And so, I have developed this liking for almost any food one will offer me. I have seen a lot of different styles in home cooking as well and even learned a lot in cooling those food by my own.

But whenever I come home, my mom's home cooked foods always end up on the top of my list, despite all those that were served to me during my trip. Indeed, mom knows a lot and knows what I want.

I guess its in her way of cooking things that her top recipes differ vaguely that of the others.

Last week, her ever loyal double burner gas stove decided to rest. One of the burners won't fire up while the other one also showed laziness in making a good fire to even boil hot water. We have another 4 burner stove but its on our other house.

And so, we had to buy a new one. I love shopping for appliances but it will be my first time buying a new stove for the house. And although I love eating very much, looking for stoves isn't my thing.

In the end, I chose a 4 burner gas-electric stove instead of the traditional all gas stove. Two burners are electirc running while the other two uses traditional LPG to fire.

It was cool and nice to look at something inside the kitchen which you yourself personally chose and purchased. I felt like I will be eating dinner today from the stove I worked hard on to buy.
