Aaron R. Thomas Acrylic Furniture

By Aaron R. Thomas at 07/25/07 20:54
Aaron R. Thomas and Thomas Plastic Design have been creating the finest acrylic furniture for more than 35 years. Over the years our list of clients has grown and has created more and more demand for our products. After finishing a $10,000 table and a $100,000 chandelier we are proud to announce a new line of affordable acrylic furniture and accessories priced within the budgets of many more design lovers. Aaron R. Thomas ready-to-carry (or a.r.t.c for short) delivers just this.

We have already gotten a lot of heat from certain industry insiders for daring to offer our products for wholesale prices directly to the public. Two things have allowed us to do this. First, we design and manufacture in house saving a ton on shipping and being able to oversee the entire process so that everything is up to our highest standards. Secondly, the internet has allowed us to sell directly to the public by eliminating the middle man.

One night Aaron was out to dinner when a restaurant owner came up to him proudly with an acrylic chair that he had just purchased from an expensive showroom in LA. "I bought this chair and I love it but it cost a ton. I would like you to reproduce these for me." he told Aaron. Aaron took one look at the chair and told him that it was his chair he was holding and next time come straight to the source. A lightbulb went off over his head and he decided to make everything more accessible to the public.

You can see our fine line of acrylic furniture and learn more about Aaron R. Thomas

You can visit our new online store at: Online Furniture

Right now we are also offering a sale on our ever popular 1" waterfall table. This table is on sale for $575 which is even less than we sell this wholesale. Hurry though, this is an introductory price and only lasts until August 1st!

jazzyexpo.com Interview

By Interviewer at 07/20/07 18:06
Name of your website?

jazzyexpo.com

Your name?

James

Your Location (city, etc)

Encino, CA

When did you start your website and why?

The site was started about two and a half years ago to be an online catalog of our executive office furniture.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

We concentrate on manufacturing high quality office furniture for the executive and professional office. We make improvements to the functionality, design, and durability of our office furniture while most of our competitors try to make theirs cheaper to keep cost down.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Using Yahoo's store manager to build the site puts limitations on being able to add some hand coded elements to the site.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Yahoo's store manager allow us to easily add new products and change options and information on existing products.

What was your biggest mistake?

Not getting into SEO earlier.

Who maintains your website and why?

I am the IT Coordinator of jazzyexpo and it is my responsibility to make any changes to the site and it's SEO.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

We can reach potential customers all over the country by having our products display on the internet. They can take their time researching the right piece of office furniture for their needs then contact us to make the purchase.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

On items that are more expensive, like our executive office furniture, people still want to be able to see the item in person. Before they spend a lot of money, they would like to try out desk, sit at the helm. When we get customers into our showroom, they always comment on how the website does not do the desks justice, that the wood is really quite beautiful.

I would hope that the internet can cater to these types of individuals, perhaps with 3D or virtual reality of a higher degree.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

I was introduced to SEO with this website. I find it interesting, intriguing and frustrating all at the same time.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

I wish there was easy to get information on what variables are a part of their algorithm and how much weight each element has.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Our PPC has been really good for us in getting exposure.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

PPC Content Match does not work for us as the SE do not seem to be able to place our ads on sites with a higher potential of getting a customer for our "executive" office furniture.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

Less "black hat" services. I would like everyone on the SE to be on an even playing field and let the true relevance of their sites be the determining factor.

What is your website address?

jazzyexpo.com
