What inspired you to launch your own website?
We sold on Ebay for about 5 years and still do , but the site has changed so much lately it was time to diversify

Decorating For Divas was launched in Feb 2007
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our site is simple we sell wall words, no searching through pages of a website to find our items, if tou looking black metal wall words your on the right site
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Expand into other home decor product lines with out diversifying too much
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Now that the site is up, the time factor has decreased a lot, we had no budget so we did much of the work ourselves, much of it trial & error many areas need improvement but we're happy so far
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Hire somebody to take care of our site
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
My teenage kids owe me, so we'd have help, cash flow might be a problem
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting our website to look professional and yet fun, it's not there yet, SEO had driven me nuts
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
We've done some of everthing, Linking, SEO, Blogs, directories
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
No, just took longer to get my first sale than I expected
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We've been up 6 months, sales are better than expected, so as long as they continue we'll be around
